I love reading other people's Blogs

Reading other people's blogs is so enteraining to me. I read them daily and find it so interesting to read what others have to say. I think my life is relatively normal and only exciting every so often, but when I came across this blog that my boyfriend's friend had posted on his blog, I had to read it. I read it once and found it to be so entertaining that I now read it every day. Click here to check it out. This girl Emily (the blog is actually called "That Girl Emily") has thousands of hits on a daily basis b/c she will most likely be going through what may seem like, a nasty divorce b/c of her cheating husband. The things she has done so far for revenge against her husband are what I'm sure any pissed off soon to be ex-wife would do. Between renting a billboard, spray painting a car and buying every women in his office a dozen roses - using his credit card to pay for everything are just a few of the things she has done. I guess this is just a glimpse of what women are really capable of doing when men piss us off!! The moral behind all of the things she has done so far? Do NOT sleep with your wife's best friend.... it'll only make your life absolutely miserable!! By the way, That Girl Emily? It's all fake. What a bummer.

Anyone seen Scarlett lately?

I have. And she's very pretty in person. She's shorter than I had expected, but she's very natural looking (when she wants to be). When I saw her, she had no make-up on and was really very pretty. She's only about 5'2" maybe? She didn't seem much taller than me and I'm 5'3". Then again, I was exactly standing right next to her, this is just a guess.

Funny, I saw a picture of her that was taken about 4 or 5 hours after I saw her and she looked very different! It's amazing what hair dye, a little make-up and a spray on tan can do in a few hours!

Check out her new ad-campaign with Reebok.

It's been a while...

Sorry for missing the past couple of days! Things have been hectic and for some unknown reason, my internet is not working very well at home. This week flew by, I can't believe it's already Friday - what a great day! Although, Saturday is my favorite day of the week. Friday's are good because it's the last day of the work week, and Sunday is considered to be the relaxing day of the weekend, and it is a relaxing day, it's just the day before another long week of work and everything closes early on Sunday's. SO, my pick of the week is definitely Saturday - no doubt about it!

I learned how to Line Dance...

This weekend was my best friends 30th birthday. There were about 20 of us who went up to Maine to the lake house. No, not the movie with Sandra Bullock, but my friend Aimee's parents house, which is on Moose Pond in Denmark, Maine. Her parents actually have 2 houses. One on a lake and the other one is an actual farm house, with... you guessed it, I farm! The party started on Saturday late morning, early afternoon. My friend Todd and I were the first one's to arrive at around 11:30 am. We sat on the dock until Aimee's cousin's arrived about 30 minutes later. We had cold cut sandwich lunches and hung out since it was raining ALL day and most of the night. At around 4:30, we got into our cars and drove 15 minutes to the farm house, where Aimee's parents, Aunt, sister and brother had turned one of the rooms into a southern theme. They had hung cowboy hats and handkerchiefs on the wall and put up white christmas lights. in the center of the ceiling was a "Woody" pinata. Get your minds out of the gutter people, this was the Woody character from Toy Story. They had all kinds of snacks out... everything from chips and salsa, to dorito's, pretzels and potato chips. At around 5:45, dinner was ready to be served, buffet stylle. Aimee's parents went all out and made several tasty dishes!! They made steak tips and sausages for the meat eaters, and they made a green bean casserole, a really good Campbell's recipe and macaroni & cheese for the vegetarians, which would be me and the birthday girl. It was reallly good!! After dinner, we had birthday cake, and then at about 6:30, we look up to see an older couple who Aimee's parents had hired to come to the farm house and teach us to line dance! We danced for about 2 hours and had the best time ever! Who knew line, merenge, and salsa dancing could be so much fun!? After learning to dance, Aimee broke out the goldschlager and the party was finally started! 1:30am came around and it was time to pass out. I know, not very late, but c'mon, 2 hours of line dancing can really wipe you out!

We woke up this morning around 9:30 and cleaned up. About an hour later, we all drove back to the lake house and had breakfast which Aimee's mother had made for everyone. A few hours had passed by and it was already time to have lunch! Hamburgers and veggie burgers - perfect end to a perfect weekend. Unfortunately, we are now back home, and it's almost time to go to bed. It's so unfair that the weekends are so short, yet the weeks are so long! Till then... See you all on Monday!

A Day in Maine

I'm heading up to Maine on Saturday for my best friends 30th birthday celebration. Her real birthday was on Wednesday, July 19th, but we're going to make her big day last a little longer. Actually, now that I look at my clock, technically it Saturday already. We're getting up at 6:30 to be on the road by 7. It'll take a few hours to get up there and since we want to get up there in time for the festivities to begin, we need to get an early head start! We'll definitely make a pit stop at Dunk Donuts for some coffee - how else do we stay awake?? There will be about 20 of us celebrating at the lake house. Festivities include swimming, volleyball, tubing, and other fun games. Saturday night will include a possible campfire and I'm sure there will be plenty of tasty alcoholic beverages to choose from. Sunday morning will either be spent recovering from a hangover, or just simply relaxing for the afternoon ride home. Another fun-filled, jam-packed party-loving weekend coming right up!

Are you ready to party??

A Wedding Weekend

So, my friend from high school was married on Saturday to a guy who she met at Cleary's Bar in Boston. I might just have to toot my own horn and say that if it had not been for me, they never would have met. Usually, my friend is the one to drag me out to the bars, but 4 years ago, on a Saturday night in February, I was the one to convince my friend to go out. That night, she met her now Husband. The wedding took place at the State Room on Saturday night. It was a very small, but formal event that took place until around 12:30am. The dance floor was full until the band had to go home and I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time, especially with an open bar! The cocktail hour after the ceremony included a few raw bars, seafood hors devour's and a martini bar. The martini bar offered 4 different types of flavors. Mango, Strawberry, white chocolate and another one I can't seem to remember! They had 4 tall, rectangular ice sculptures that had a martini glass and the fruit of each flavor inside the block of ice. I have to say it was pretty cool! The band that played rocked the house - they had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! My head hit the pillow around 2 am and I was out like a light!

Jacques Cabaret

I went to a Bachelorette party for one of my high school friends who is getting married tomorrow. We started off at her place for some drinks and then had dinner at Antonio's on Cambridge street in Beacon Hill. Great Italian food and the waitstaff have a sense of humor. After dinner, we took some cabs to Jacques Cabaret in Boston. I have never experienced anything like this before, and I'm thinking it was definitely a one-time experience! I have never felt so violated in my entire life! These cross-dressers really cross the comfort zone! All I wanted to do was go home and shower! What does a cross-dresser do when they are not working, anyway?!?! We ended up leaving early since we were getting a little grossed out and uncomfortable. So, we walked over to Whiskey Park for some drinks. All in all it was a fun girls' night out!

Driving in the rain...

Why is it, that when the sky clouds up and a drop of rain falls, people do NOT know how to drive!! They immediately decrease their speed and if you're in back of someone who does this, you know exactly what I'm talking about!! I was on Storrow drive yesterday, and it was pouring out. I was on my way up to Stoneham to see a friend of mine who just had twin boys, and traffic came to a stand-still. I thought at first it was b/c people just don't know how to drive in the rain, but as I went under the tunnel (holding my breathe!!) I saw flashing lights ahead and realized it was not a rain delay, but an accident. Of all places to have an accident - especially after Monday night's tunnel collapse!! It's ok to slow down when there are torrential downpours, but when it's just raining, they act like they've never seen it before! Luckily, according to the weather man this morning, the rain shouldn't last long today.

Not even Hump Day yet...

Do you ever get the feeling that you just want the week to be somewhat over, yet you have so much to do until that can happen? I feel like this week should fly by since I have a lot to do before this weekend, but it doesn't seem to be working that way, unfortunately. This morning, I woke up to horrible news, and if you live in Boston, and you need to get to the Airport, you might want to think again! A 40-foot piece of the ceiling in the tunnel that connects I-93 to the Ted William's Tunnel came crashing down on someone's car last night at around 11pm. The driver managed to sneak out of a 6-12 inch space. His wife of only 2 years, who was sitting in the passengers seat, did not survive. All they were doing was picking up a family member from the airport. Sometimes, being in the right place, but at the wrong time can end your life!

Imagine that... you're just driving along and BAM! you're crushed to death. You don't even have a second to think. That's why you need to treat every day as if it were your last.

On a happier note!... I've got a fun-filled night of cleaning ahead of me!! wohoooo - party time!!

My boyfriends' Geetar

My boyfriend needed a hobby. So, one night he decided to go onto ebay and bid on a guitar. He originally put a bid on it for $10.00. Since he bid close to the end, he won. When he went to pay through paypal, it told him he only owed the seller $.01! So, he bought an accoustic guitar for 1 cent. The shipping was $30.00, but it was an amount he was willing to pay for the small price of a one-cent guitar. He also found his guitar teacher's website on a business card that he picked up somewhere local. He's a great guy who knows his stuff! I've already been serenaded a number of times and I owe it all to his guitar teacher.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today was my mom's 62nd birthday. Every year she says the same thing on her day. "The summer is almost over". But really, the summer has just begun. Although New England only has 3 seasons; Winter, Summer and Fall... when the days are as hot as 90 on certain days, those are the days that can feel like a lifetime! Now that I've rambled on about pretty much nothing, I'll wish my mom a happy birthday, keep my fingers crossed that her wish(es) come true (I'm pretty sure I know what she wished for... it's what she wished for every year.) You really think I'm going to tell you? If I did, it wouldn't come true!!

Happy 62nd birthday, Mom!! You don't look a day over 30!!
